Made from the uniquely Norwegian mineral Larvikite, and turned ash wood, Sfera I is a spherical box that can both standalone as a sculpture or be used to house items ranging from trivials like keys and coins to more precious objects like jewellery.

The two materials are structured with traces of the past; Larvikite with it’s distinct feltspar crystals tells about how it was made nearly 300 millions years ago, the ash wood with it’s growth rings tells a similar story from the much nearer past.

Made in collaboration with Lundhs. First shown at Norwegian Structure, Ventura Lambrate, Milan.

Acquired by Nordenfjeldske Kunstindustrimuseum, Trondheim.
